Assistant Engineers Handbook is filled with the information, techniques and standards which any assistant engineer must have to make themselves indispensable. All done with a great sense of humor. Absolutely brilliant.

No one is more qualified to author recording studio manuals than Tim Crich.

Recording Magazine
I am extremely impressed with this book. It has all the real world information that is sorely needed, but rarely (if ever) taught in engineering schools. Tim Crich has worked on tons of records including Rolling Stones, U2, KISS, Bob Dylan, Bryan Adams, even John Lennon. He has definitely been there, and he tells all.
Josiah Gluck - Producer, Recording Engineer
Tim Crich’s wonderful book fills a much needed niche in recording literature. The common sense approach is informative and wise, while it keeps the reader chuckling. It is required reading here at Institute of Audio Research, as it should be for all aspiring recording engineers.
M. Friedman - Dir., Institute of Audio Research, New York
This book must be read by anybody considering a career in engineering. It should be mandatory reading for those already working in the studio.
Sandee Bathgate - Manager, Warehouse Studios, Vancouver
I hope all assistant engineers get their hands on this book. It is a true and proven guide to possibly the most undefinable job ever. I wish I could have had this guide to give to starting assistants at all the studios I’ve managed. I am very impressed.
Bruce Levens - Owner, Greenhouse Studios, Vancouver
This book should be mandatory reading in every engineering school, and every assistant engineer, recording engineer and producer should use this as their bible. I’ll bet if you read this book, you will be promoted in no time. It is worth every penny.
The Music Paper
Tim’s Assistant Engineers Handbook is the most informative and hilarious
book I have ever read on the subject. I gave my son a copy, and told him to
go and get a job.
Ed Stasium - Producer, Recording Engineer
This well-crafted book is an indispensable reference for anyone aspiring to
any kind of career in the recording studio.
BAM Magazine
At last, a book effectively dealing with the psychology of session management. This book could save years of mistakes.
E Vandersande - Vandersound Media Schools, Australia
No other audio engineering manual I know of provides insight into demeanor, protocol, and prioritization in a professional recording studio.
